Coal Vines serves quick pizzas at new downtown Dallas digs

If you've been to Coal Vines, the pizza places in Uptown Dallas, Addison, Southlake and Plano, you know they are sit-down restaurants with wine service. The newest Coal Vines, in downtown Dallas, is still a traditional restaurant at dinnertime. But at lunch, it's a fast-casual restaurant with $8 personal pizzas available in only a few minutes.

The Coal Vines in downtown Dallas is the only one in the pizza group doing quick lunch.

The restaurant opened Monday, Dec. 14 in front of the Omni Dallas. It's part of a four-restaurant block that includes German restaurant and bar Biergarten on Lamar, already open, and two coming-soon restaurants, Little Katana sushi and Herrera's Tex-Mex.
