A Lawrence, Kansas, sub shop has made its way to Dallas. Planet Sub is an order-at-the-counter sandwich shop that opens Nov. 14 in Deep Ellum.
The shop will make bread in-house daily. The menu includes expected proteins such as turkey, roast beef, ham, chicken, salami and pastrami. It also has vegetarian subs made with raw veggies and cheeses, plus ones made with tempeh (a vegetarian protein made with soybeans).
Most of the existing Planet Subs are in the Kansas City area, though the company is expanding in Texas, specifically. North Texas' first Planet Sub is already located in Fort Worth; another restaurant is expected to open in Irving in 2016.
The Deep Ellum shop is Dallas' first.
