Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar's first Texas restaurant is officially open. The new place, located at Village on the Parkway in Addison, has a lodge-like interior and serves American food of all kinds -- pulled pork pizzas, ribs, chicken wings, cheeseburgers and the like.

The restaurant also has a dog-friendly patio and a full bar. Some of the cocktails are easy on the sugar, such as the 150-calorie coconut mojito.

The company, which originated in Southern California, collaborates with breweries in California to serve house beers sold only at Lazy Dog. As we reported in an October 2014 story, executive chef Gabe Caliendo is a home brewer and is seriously into beer. Cheers to that!
