The description of chef Blythe Beck's new restaurant could also describe the chef herself: It'll have "swanky Southern flair."

Comfort food restaurant Pink Magnolia is located on Davis Street in Oak Cliff, where Driftwood once served some of the best seafood in Dallas before it closed in late 2014. Beck co-opened Pink Magnolia with restaurateur Casie Caldwell.

Before Pink Magnolia, Beck managed to secure back-to-back chef positions at Caldwell's Kitchen LTO for more than six months. Then it was finally time to let another chef take the reins as part of the Kitchen "Limited Time Only" modus operandi. At Pink Magnolia, Beck has a permanent place to develop her Southern comfort food menu.

Chef Blythe Beck's menu features bacon, butter and booze -- so she can make "southern food blush a little," she says.

The restaurant has room for 84 people inside, 20 outside. 

Pink Magnolia

Beck is the former star of the show The Naughty Kitchen with Blythe Beck. She has held chef positions at Central 214, Hector's on Henderson and the Mansion on Turtle Creek.
