Dallas' second bbbop rice bowl shop now open on Greenville Avenue

There are a lot of ways you could celebrate the infamous 4-20. Perhaps the best way, though, is to get a quick, delicious lunch at the new bbbop Seoul Kitchen on Greenville Avenue.

Surely you've been to the bbbop up the street -- on Upper Greenville, near Lovers Lane -- or the one formerly in Carrollton. Bbbop specializes in bibimbap, a Korean rice dish. Then they Chipotle-ize it, letting customers choose ingredients such as mushrooms, jalapeños, fried egg, and more to add to the bowl. You can top it off with a variety of sauces, from sweet to fiery hot.

Or if you'd rather trust the chef, the menu also has already-built bowls featuring kimchee, curry or short rib.

The Upper Greenville store is popular among people watching their waistlines, as the bowls can come loaded with veggies. (Though here, like almost anywhere, it's easy to make an unhealthy dish if you so desire, too.)

If you've ever tried to go for a quick lunch on a Sunday and found the Upper Greenville shop closed (guilty), good news for Lower Greenville eaters: The new store at Greenville Avenue and Bell Street will be open Sundays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Aside from the bowls, owners Steve Shin and Sandra and Greg Bussey offer Korean entrees such as "not your Mama's fried chicken" and Korean small plates such as lettuce wraps and glazed pork belly.

The newest Greenville Avenue bbbop opens April 20.
