A 27-year-old Dallas entrepreneur named on Forbes' list of 30 Under 30 is expanding his sandwich shop. East Hampton Sandwich Co. is expected to open this summer at Oak Lawn Avenue and Blackburn Street in Dallas.
Owner Hunter Pond is a proud law school dropout who decided he was better suited for the restaurant world. His first East Hampton Sandwich Company opened in Snider Plaza a few years back and then expanded to Fort Worth and Plano. The new Turtle Creek shop makes four.
Pond told The Dallas Morning News in January he plans to open three East Hamptons this year -- the aforementioned Dallas location and in Richardson and Las Colinas. By the end of 2016, he wants to have 10 restaurants open.
Pond's vision for East Hampton is to sell sandwiches that are fancier than a quick place such as Subway but less fancy than a higher-end restaurant such as Nick and Sam's Grill. See East Hampton's menu here.
It will be located at 3888 Oak Lawn Avenue, Dallas.
