Best Little Brewfest in Texas

Hopheads will flock to Old Town Lewisville for this beer festival that also pours warm fuzzy feelings. The Best Little Brewfest in Texas, which features more than 100 craft breweries and 300 handcrafted brews, will allow beer aficionados and newbies alike to sample and learn about a variety of Texas brewed craft beer. There'll also be music from local bands, food truck fare and a car show. The Best Little Brewfest annually chooses a charity to which it donates 100 percent of its proceeds.

Decks in the Park 

The mission of this summer music series is to build community through free music events that feature the best up-and-coming local talent. Dallas' top DJs will mis a variety of cool beat in different styles of family-friendly music ranging from electronic, house and reggae to classic rewinds, groove, soul, funk, organic hip- hop and other new genres. Bring a picnic or grab dinner from of one of the food trucks on site.

Denton Air Show 

View vintage aircraft and breathtaking aerobatic demonstrations throughout the day at this annual show that takes place in the skies above Denton. (Helpful hint: this makes a great Father's Day weekend activity.) Opening ceremonies begin at at 11:25 a.m. with the Texas Twisters Formation Team fly-by.

Party on Crockett

Vibrant paintings, photos, drawings and other works of art brighten the streets of downtown Fort Worth at this third annual festival. More than 40 artists line Crockett Square to show, demonstrate and sell their work. Three artists will collaborate on one massive canvas to create a collective work in front of spectators that will later be offered for sale at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center. There'll also be yoga classes, amazing food and drinks (find beer and wine in Crockett Square), live music and an interactive art exhibition that turns you into an artist.

Juneteenth Black Expo of Dallas

The Fair Park celebration of Juneteenth is approaching its 70th anniversary. In addition to food, games, animal displays and live entertainment, the festival will also feature an expo of black-owned businesses.

June 18 from noon to 9 p.m. at the Fair Park Women's Building, 3800 Parry Avenue, Dallas. $5; parking is $10.
