Celebs from D-FW in New York for Fashion Week

Celebrities from around the world gathered in the Big Apple this week for New York Fashion Week, and the city was filled with more impeccably-dressed stars than usual. In our opinion, the ones that shone brightest are from D-FW. (Full disclosure: we might be a big biased. Just a bit.)

Erykah Badu, Dallas

Neo-soul singer and Dallas native Erykah Badu was spotted in attendance at the Givenchy show September 11. The haute couture brand's Instagram included photos of several guests who attended the debut of its Spring/Summer 2016 collection, Badu included. The singer has been linked with Givenchy since 2014, when she was named the face of the Spring 2014 advertising campaign. Badu has a continued friendship with designer Riccardo Tisci; sfter a late-night performance at the Standard on September 10, the singer told Women's Wear Daily she had plans to "hang out with Riccardo."

Selena Gomez, Grand Prairie

Believe it or not, but pop superstar Selena Gomez was crowned queen of fashion week. Why? A single photo she posted to Instagram from the Polo Ralph Lauren event garnered over 1.5 million likes — more than any other post during NYFW. Yes, that means even more than the selfies snapped by Instagram-crazed Kim Kardashian. When Gomez wasn't posing for photos that #breaktheinternet (or at least Instagram), she was hanging with British celeb royalty Brooklyn Beckham. What a life.

Or with:

Jenna Bush Hager, Dallas

The former first daughter stepped out in New York to attend the Prabal Gurung and Lela Rose shows. Seated in the coveted front row at both shows, Hager was in the perfect spot to snap a pic of the floral loveliness at Lela Rose and cozy up to sister Barbara and a friend at Prabal Gurung.

Jessica Simpson, Richardson

Jessica Simpson remains one of Texas' most recognizable celebs (for better or for worse). The singer-turned-reality star-turned-shoe designer didn't appear to attend any shows during NYFW, but she and husband Eric Johnson turned up to celebrate her 10th anniversary as a fashion designer at a party in Central Park. Simpson expressed her surprise and gratitude that her brand has been successful for a decade while partying with friends and family at Tavern on the Green.

These next few celebs aren't exactly from D-FW, but they're big enough Texas stars that we decided to let it slide.

Ciara, Austin

Like fellow musician Erykah Badu, Ciara attended the Givenchy show looking absolutely fierce. The Austin, TX native was photographed with Nicki Minaj in the front row of the celeb-studded presentation. Later in NYFW, she slayed the fashion game again while observing the Coach Spring/Summer 2016 collection. This woman can do no sartorial wrong.

Solange, Houston

Though Solange's style is vastly different from that of big sis Beyoncé, there's no denying she knows how to dress to the nines. Donning a bright pink ensemble at the Mill by Michelle Smith show, Solange looked better than ever. Fellow fashion-lover Devin Brugman of the Instagram-famous duo behind A Bikini A Day simply couldn't resist "fan girling" over the stylish Houston musician, who sat in the front row alongside actresses Malin Ackerman and Samira Wiley.
