Get the look: 7 fashionable folks in Dallas share their style secrets

Dallas isn't New York, London, Milan or Paris. And, y'all, it doesn't have to be.

Dallas is forming its own unique fashion identity, and these seven fashionable folks are leading the way. We asked them to divulge their closet must-haves, favorite shopping destinations and more. You'll want to remember these names.

Lucy Wrubel

Meet Lucy Wrubel: She's a DJ, mom and stylish world traveler. When she's not goofing around with fellow fashionista and friend Reed Robertson in the Forty Five Ten dressing room, Wrubel is often in the DJ booth at one of the boutique's private parties.

For Wrubel, fashion is art. She'll display her latest shoe purchase on her coffee table before even wearing them, and she loves to play around with pops of color from funky jewelry.  High-end items are often paired with affordable finds, whether its a Madewell basic tee or a one-of-a-kind vintage piece.

Dallas-based electro-pop artist Lev (a.k.a. Holly Peyton) is all about vintage stores and thrifting. She loves playing around with pieces from different decades, as well as adding modern touches. "I truly believe in the fact that one man's junk is somebody else's treasure. It's cool to wear something nobody else would have," she says. Lev usually goes for a natural nude and black fashion palette but isn't afraid to add bold color at times. Alongside her friend Hannah Francis, Lev also started her own online curated vintage shop, Drifters Vintage.

For Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Brice Butler, he says he goes for outfits that are classy and comfortable. "When I'm playing sports, I don't have a problem with wearing louder colors, but when dressing up for a fashion show or game day, I always go for classy and not flashy," Butler said. That means outfits in shades of black, burgundy and dark blue. On game day, once he's off the field, he typically wears trousers, a white shirt and an overcoat or sports jacket. From New York to Paris, you might spot Butler at fashion shows for Balmain or Berluti.

Combine fashion with theater and you'll understand Reed Robertson's style. Robertson has a history in musical theater and is now a women's ready-to-wear specialist at Forty Five Ten. He first fell in love with fashion through costume designing: "I love putting together outfits because they can say so much about someone's personality without even speaking," he says. "Everyday is a different costume, and I'm a character."

Notice anything about Robertson's photo? Yep: Besties Robertson and Wrubel each have Gucci platform shoes.

Robertson has also worked at Diane von Furstenberg in Highland Park Village.

Whether Charlotte Jones Anderson, the Dallas Cowboys executive vice president and chief brand officer, is on the football field or in the boardroom at The Star in Frisco, she prefers to dress in a way that is both strong and chic yet feminine and sophisticated.

"We are fortunate to have great fashion in Dallas. Stanley Korshak and Forty Five Ten are amazing. But then again, you can't go wrong with a great pair of jeans and Cowboys T-shirt, the perfect nod to our favorite team," Jones says.
