Happy International Kissing Day! The best spots in Dallas to share a peck

Who needs a special day for kissing? We're with you. Just because July 6 has been dubbed International Kissing Day, doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the 7th, 8th or 9th.

Still, no need to let a good opportunity go to waste. Say there's a new person who has caught your eye or a long burning flame still tugging at your heartstrings. Seize the day! Here are a few of our favorite romantic spots for a kiss in Dallas.

Bar Belmont

It boasts one of the best and most romantic views of the Dallas skyline, period. Not only that, the Bar Belmont patio is a good place to drop in for a quick cocktail and, perchance, stay a bit longer if a date's going just fine. We won't make a joke here about the fact that the bar is connected to a fabulous hotel. That is between you and the night.

Reunion Tower

Perhaps the thought of a first-kiss atop the Ball sounds cliched -- it's "touristy," sure -- but there's nothing understated about Reunion Tower.  There's a reason it's such a popular spot for popping the question, of course -- each year, Reunion Tower averages about two wedding proposals per day or around 730 annually, a rep says. In other words, if you're going to go big, go big.

That said, you don't have to be ready for forever to take advantage of the atmosphere. With 360 degree views on its GeoDeck, a bar serving chic cocktails and a Wolfgang Puck restaurant just beneath, it fosters a "first kiss" kind of romantic high, too.

White Rock Lake / the Dallas Arboretum

Such an obvious choice, but that doesn't make it any less true: White Rock Lake and the nearby Arboretum offer a couple of the most bucolic views for locals, and that's why you'll see them as the backdrop for proposals, baby bumps, weddings and practically every other exquisite photo op imaginable. The timing is always right for a smooch here, whether it's mid-bike ride, during a sunset stroll or following a concert in the gardens.

Fair Park

Win them a prize on the Midway first and don't skimp on the Fletcher's Corny Dog and cotton candy. Whether you're at Fair Park for the State Fair or a simple Saturday swan boat ride, it's easy to find magic among its grand design and beautiful architecture.
