Our fair city just took first place in USA Today's Best International Skyline readers' choice poll, coming out ahead of No. 2 Chicago for ultimate bragging rights.
If we're being totally honest here, we're a teensy bit surprised. Not that our skyline isn't awesome; it's definitely one of the coolest. But have you seen Shanghai's skyline? Or Kuala Lumpur's? I mean, daaaang. Dallas should be very proud indeed. (As long as we're boasting, it's a good time to mention that we also won USA Today's Best Quirky Landmark poll, with Big Tex taking top honors. We know how to win a big poll, that's for sure.)
USA Today cited our skyline’s colorful lighting, and pointed out that people flying in to D/FW and Love Field airports get a great view at night.
