Have you hugged a pug today? The sweet breed with the smooshy face known for being a sociable companion dog was celebrated at the 19th annual Pug-O-Ween Halloween event, which raised funds for DFW Pug Rescue (the group has placed about 6,500 huggable pugs in loving homes).
Activities included a silent auction, a pug adoption parade and pug races. Naturally, there was also a costume contest. You can find photos from that in the gallery below.
