Seven dogs who have more fun at Dallas festivals than you

Festival time is upon us, and dog lovers know that it's one of the best times of the year to be out and about with your pooch. Out come the festively colored doggy outfits, hats, bandanas and even goggles. As you take in the abundant fests around town, here are some of our favorite local "celebri-dogs" to watch for.

Occupation: Older-brother duties and keeping the litter brother in line (that means you, Walter the wolfhound)
Favorite festival and why: Bastille Day in Bishop Arts because all the local Vespa guys ride out and enjoy the food
Favorite other place to go and why: Oddfellows (best patio!), Cultivar (best coffee!), Carnival Barker's Ice Cream/Truck Yard (alcohol for the pawrents and doggy ice cream!)
Favorite outing attire: Goggles, a bandana and the occasional bow tie
Favorite snack: Duck feet! Or Milk-Bones (the red ones) and pretty much anything the pawrents have on their plates

Favorite festival and why: Deep Ellum Arts Festival, because it has a pooch parade, and it's also in B.K.'s neighborhood.
Favorite other place to go and why: Dallas Heritage Village, Lee Harvey's, Klyde Warren Park and Mutts Cantina. They all go the extra mile for dogs and their people.
Favorite outing attire: Bow tie (B.K.'s "George Clooney" look)
Favorite snack: Ice cream, especially McDonald's cones

Favorite festival and why: Christmas in July in the Bishop Arts District, because of "Emporium Pies, fake snow and lots of people to pet and admire him." Bruce Wayne is "quite the ham."
Favorite other place to go and why: McKinney Avenue Tavern for watching football on Sundays
Favorite outing attire: Navy blue Lucy and Co. hoodie
Favorite snack: Dandelions

Occupation: Ambassador of smiles, Fightin' Texas Waggie
Favorite festival and why: North Texas Irish Festival, because it lasts three days, and all the various Octoberfests, because there are so many of them. Dixicupcup is quite fond of Guinness and Irish beers.
Favorite other place to go and why: NorthPark Center, for shopping, and because at Christmas, it's a great chance to show off the outfits. Dixicupcup is a fashionista.
Favorite outing attire: The cowgirl outfit she wears to the State Fair - she likes the six-guns.
Favorite snack: Beggin' Strips, Robert ears

Occupation: Therapy dogs, models
Favorite festival and why: Easter in Lee Park, because they can meet so many new friends there
Favorite other place to go and why: Lee Harvey's, doggy fashion shows including the upcoming East Lake Pet Orphanage ( show on May 16, benefiting homeless and needy animals
Favorite outing attire: Pink fur (doggys' own), colored with Kool-Aid; tuxedos and ball gowns made by their private seamstress, Rhonda Arnold
Favorite snack: Whatever Amy's eating
