Top 10 parties celebrating Texas’ beer-to-go law on Sept. 1

Here are the top 10 parties where you can ring in the new era in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Texas breweries mark a milestone on Sept. 1. The state joins the other 49 in allowing beer producers to sell beer to go, thanks to new legislation passed this summer.

It was a long time coming, to be sure. Craft beer proponents have advocatedand sued — for years to be able to do this. Beginning Sunday, drinkers can purchase up to 288 ounces, or the equivalent of one case, of beer per day directly from a brewery to enjoy in the comfort of their own homes.

Fittingly, many breweries plan to celebrate. Thank goodness Monday is a holiday.
