Fort Worth brewery hopes you'll choose beer for breakfast with hilarious infomercial

Who needs eggs and bacon for breakfast when you could have beer?

That's the pitch from Fort Worth's Martin House Brewing Co., which recently released a campy infomercial promoting one of its products, Day Break. Billed as "breakfast" beer, Day Break is brewed with four grains (barley, wheat, oats and rye) then finished with honey and milk sugar to mimic the flavors of a bowl of cereal.

OK, maybe it's not that far of a stretch.

Day Break is newly available in 12-ounce cans, hence this clever bit of promotion. (See where you can get a six-pack.)

Martin House isn't the only local operation to release a commercial spoof. Garland's Intrinsic Smokehouse and Brewery released a video in response to Martin House's, thanking the business for an easier breakfast.

The brewpub also took on big dog Anheuser-Busch in February by recreating its Budweiser #NotBackingDown Super Bowl commercial through a craft beer lens.

Budweiser has made a running tradition of jabbing at craft beer during these prime time spots. In 2015, small brewers nationwide retaliated with memes and spoofs.
