D-FW native Carly Waddell welcomes baby with hubby she met on 'Bachelor in Paradise'

Unless you're a devout member of Bachelor Nation, you likely haven't heard Carly Waddell's name in a while. The locally-raised gal competed on the 19th season of ABC's hit reality dating show, The Bachelor, before finding her own fairytale ending on spin-off, Bachelor in Paradise.

Waddell married another veteran of the franchise, Evan Bass, in the summer of 2017. On Feb. 15, they welcomed their first child together, a 6-pound 8-ounce baby girl by the name of Isabella Evelyn Bass.

They call her Bella for short.

Though the couple now resides in Nashville, it has a lengthy list of Dallas ties. Waddell, for one, grew up in the area and attended Grapevine High School. When she appeared as a contestant on Chris Soules' season of The Bachelor, she claimed Arlington as her hometown.

Bass competed on the sequential season of The Bachelorette, starring Dallas native JoJo Fletcher. Bella is his fourth child, following three sons from a previous relationship, according to People Magazine.

And the two aren't the only Bachelor-made husband and wife with local ties. In 2016, Sean Lowe and wife Catherine Giudici welcomed a baby boy. They are currently based in Dallas and expecting a second child.

Fletcher and fiancee Jordan Rodgers also live in the area. Rachel Lindsay, the most recent bachelorette, and her fiancee Bryan Abasolo are also based (at least part-time) in the area.
