Chuck Norris may have been born in Oklahoma, but to many people he will always be a Texas Ranger.
That includes the Texas Senate, which named the 77-year-old actor an honorary Texan with a resolution they passed on Tuesday. Norris and his wife, Gena, were present.

When not the subject of various internet jokes and memes, Chuck Norris is most famous for playing the title character in Walker, Texas Ranger. He is also a conservative Christian, notably endorsing Ted Cruz during his presidential race.
We interviewed Norris last year at Texas Motor Speedway. He considers being a meme "a real compliment," and his favorite Chuck Norris fact is "They wanted to put Chuck Norris on Mt. Rushmore, but the granite wasn't tough enough for his beard." See more from the interview here.
We are live with the Patron Saint of Texas Chuck Norris at Texas Motor Speedway to talk all things motor sports and more! Ask your questions in the comment section!
