The real Chewbacca is taking Grand Prairie's 'Chewbacca Mom' to Fan Expo Dallas

If there's an end to the "Chewbacca Mask Lady" viral train, it's still at least a couple of weeks away.

Grand Prairie resident Candace Payne, who went viral last week after laughing in a toy Chewbacca mask that she bought at Kohl's (the video broke Facebook Live view records, earning more than 141 million views as of this writing), had a big day yesterday. After an appearance on Good Morning America and the release of an auto-tuned song from The Gregory Brothers, she went on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

She got to do a sketch with Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams (and the moment when she met him, which you can see in the below video, is adorable), and she got a message from Chewbacca actor (and fellow Texan) Peter Mayhew. In it, he invited her to the big, nerdy event that's taking over Dallas in a couple of weeks: Fan Expo Dallas.

"Candace, you are an inspiration," the message, read on camera by Corden, says. "Your attitude and lovely message really resonates with spreading the good word of Star Wars with our hearts. It's so much of why we do what we do. I'd love to get to meet you and your family in person. In two weeks we have Dallas Fan Expo in your hometown and my hometown. I have acquired four VIP passes for you and your family to come to the show. I have also set up a private meet and greet so we can catch up while you're there. All my love, Peter."
