"Busy busy busy busy": That's what opening weekend was like for Resident Taqueria, a new taco shop in the Lake Highlands area of Dallas, says co-owner and chef Andrew Savoie.

Nearly everything's $3 at Resident Taqueria, a new restaurant in Lake Highlands

Annie Clark, frontwoman for the band St. Vincent, was in the restaurant Friday and Saturday. She was there to support her family and "hang out," Andrew says; co-owner Amy Savoie is her sister.

(This weekend, the family also celebrated the 7th birthday of little Stella, Andrew and Amy Savoie's daughter, with Aunt Annie. Like he said: "busy.")

The Grammy Award winning musician greeted customers in the shop and helped out when needed, Andrew told The Dallas Morning News by phone.

Stereogum says the appearance proves Clark "is a pretty cool human being (or alien robot queen, or whatever)." True.

If you missed her at Resident Taqueria, you're out of luck: Clark isn't expected back. Besides, what fun would that be if it weren't a surprise?
