in Uptown Dallas
Clover Club in Uptown is a choose-your-own adventure bar: Take the elevator up to the second floor and you'll find a swanky jazz den with cozy listening corners. One more floor up is a breezy rooftop patio that feels like the new "it" place for young professionals in Uptown.
Well-known Dallas bartender Eddie "Lucky" Campbell is one of the partners behind Clover Club, which means it'll be known for its drinks. The signature Clover Club Cocktail is made with gin, lemon juice, raspberry syrup and egg whites. Much of the cocktail menu is gin- or whiskey-based.
For dinner, the second-floor restaurant menu from chef Anthony Van Camp includes foie gras, charcuterie, short ribs and salmon, all served by candlelight. It's meant to feel like a supper club, where dinner is punctuated by live Motown and Big Band music four nights a week in the evenings.
There's a fifth opportunity for music: on Sundays, when partners plan to host a New Orleans-style big band brunch. Sounds fun.

in Oak Cliff
The Bishop Arts District is looking different these days with new concepts popping up past popular pie shop Emporium Pies. Footsteps away is Botanist, a garden cocktail bar inspired by a botanist who traveled around the world and collected herbal recipes. The decor looks as if a wealthy grandmother set out collectibles and furniture from her travels. To tie together the globally-inspired atmosphere, Botanist plans to have a rotation of DJs and musical acts.
The cocktail menu, which is slowly rolling out, is a collaborative effort from the bar staff and mostly consists of floral- or fruit-infused concoctions. The Wildberry Smash is made with bourbon, lemon, blackberries, raspberries, lemon-thyme syrup and mint leaves.
Botanist is one of three concepts connected by a garden. Paradiso, a restaurant, and Good Companions, a coffee & wine bar, are set to open within the next few weeks. The idea is to stay and play all day within the three spaces.
For food, Botanist is serving bar bites like oyster and artichoke dishes made in Paradiso, which serves as the home base and kitchen for all three concepts.
Botanist is located at 308 North Bishop Ave., Building 2, Dallas. Open Tuesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. until 2 a.m.
Toller Patio Bar and Kitchen
on Ross Avenue
Named after the Tolling Retriever dogs, Toller Patio Bar and Kitchen is a brightly-colored, pup-friendly patio on Dallas’ Ross Avenue. The vibrant new bar serves handcrafted cocktails, beer, wine and food.
The patio is a giant 15,000 square feet and is set with vibrant decor and seating that can sit hundreds of guests. Outdoor games and over a dozen flat-screen TVs are placed throughout Toller Patio. Sounds like the perfect place for a get-together with large groups of friends.
Scott Jenkins, of Deep Ellum’s HIDE, presided over the cocktail program. The creative menu includes cocktail concoctions like the Castaway, made with rum, lime, passion fruit and caramelized pineapple; and the frozen Grapefruit Spritz, made with Champagne, vodka and grapefruit.
The food menu has a wide range of items, from the Beyond Burger to a Texas chicken Caesar salad. On weekends, Toller offers a brunch menu with breakfast tacos. And don’t think they forgot about your four-legged friend: Puppy treats and doggie ice cream are available.

on Henderson Avenue
Rooftop bar 77 Degrees is finally making its way to Dallas. It has locations in Houston and Austin, but the Dallas spot is the largest of the three, at 13,000 square feet. 77 degrees is a four-level rooftop bar on North Henderson Avenue set with swings, cabanas and other island-adjacent accents.
The island theme can also be seen in the menu. Eight specialty cocktails, priced $12 each, include tiki drinks like Norman’s Cay: Bacardi coconut rum, Bacardi mango rum, Bacardi pineapple fusion, coconut water and lime.
The bar also serves food, like its ceviche made with red snapper, ahi chombo, mango and lime. The El Loco — a pineapple bowl with fresh fruit, Tajin, chamoy, Flaming Hot Cheetos and candy — is a looker.
77 Degrees will be a hot spot to mix and mingle.
77 Degrees is located at 2107 N. Henderson Avenue, Dallas. Open Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Saturday through from Sunday from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m.
DizziBrands Taste Kitchen
in Far North Dallas
DizziBrands is a retail shop that happens to have a bar — making it different from all the other bars on this list. The Far North Dallas/Addison-area shop opened recently, as a spot to sell its alcohol-infused ice creams and popsicles outside of concert venues, restaurants and hotels. (Other bars, like Katy Trail Ice House in Uptown and the Back Yard in Deep Ellum, also sell DizziBrands' desserts, according to a press release.)
Customers can eat and drink their DizziBrands products inside the adults-only "taste kitchen" in Addison, or take it to go.
Boozy ice creams come in flavors like vanilla bourbon and cookies and cream; popsicles include white-peach Bellini and blood-orange mimosa.
