USA Today runs these polls all the time, though they're no less fun despite their regularity. (This go-round, a few of the other categories up for votes right now are best national park beach, best freshwater beach, best urban beach, best Mexico beach, best West Coat beach, best East Coach beach. No son of a beach; I looked.)

In a past USA Today poll, Big Tex was named "best quirky landmark" -- so Dallas folks have had some success already getting their favorite spots recognized.

The 66-acre gardens at the Dallas Arboretum, located on White Rock Lake, opened in 1984. A special fest called Dallas Blooms is taking place right now, where attendees can see more than half a million spring flowers, many tulips, on the sprawling grounds.

Should you think it's better than, say, the botanical gardens in Phoenix, Atlanta, St. Louis or a dozen other cities, vote here. Then do it again; rules say you can vote once a day until March 28.
