Recap: NXT TakeOver: Dallas puts the WrestleMania 32 card on notice

To cap off Day 2 of WrestleMania Axxess at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, they not only hosted NXT TakeOver: Dallas, but they may have just hosted the best WWE show of the weekend.

Since WWE went TV-PG, they have mostly cut out showing blood on their broadcasts. Unfortunately, somehow Samoa Joe suffered a bad cut on his face within minutes of the opening bell.

Several times throughout the match it was stopped due to WWE officials trying to contain Joe's bleeding, leading to many angry chants from a raucous Dallas crowd.

'PG sucks!' is probably the only one I can repeat here...

After a really solid match, which the stoppages only added even more energy to once Joe and Balor actually got to go at it, Balor countered a sleeper hold by Joe for a roll up victory.

Asuka def. Bayley to win the NXT Women's Championship 

American Alpha def. The Revival to win the NXT Tag Team Championships 

Shinsuke Nakamura def. Sami Zayn 

Match of the night. Wow.

'Fight for-ever' clap, clap, clap clap clap - That's the chant the Dallas crowd gave this matchup. They never wanted it to end.

After Nakamura, in his debut NXT match after coming over from New Japan Wrestling, pinned Zayn for the three-count, both wrestlers received that standing ovation they rightfully deserved.

Austin Aries def. Baron Corbin 

Aries picks up the win in his debut match with NXT/WWE.

Notable: Bobby Roode, most known for his work in TNA, made an appearance at NXT: TakeOver Dallas. So, there appears to be a new player in the NXT universe.
