Kofi Kingston on a huge WWE career moment that happened in Dallas

Four-time WWE Intercontinental champion, three-time U.S. champion, and current WWE Tag Team champion as a part of 'The New Day' Kofi Kingston talks about the Road to WrestleMania, which lands in Arlington April 3. Here are some highlights:

On a major career moment he had in D-FW:

"The first time I ever won the Intercontinental title was in Dallas," Kingston said, "Growing up, it was one of WWE's most important titles, and this was the first title I ever won so it's always good to come back [to Dallas]."

He won the title on June 29, 2008 inside American Airlines Center by defeating one of the biggest names in WWE, Chris Jericho, at a Night of Champions pay-per-view.

Jericho became a household name outside of the WWE bubble with World Championship Wrestling, just like this year's WWE Hall of Fame headliner 'The Icon' Sting.

On some of WWE's living legends:

Sting made his WWE in-ring debut at last year's Wrestlemania at Levi's Stadium, and was announced as the first inductee in 2016's Hall of Fame class in January.

Kingston called finally seeing Sting in a WWE ring "a dream come true for so many people."

As WWE fans waited for many years for the The Vigilante to arrive with the promotion, their dream matchup of Sting vs. Texas-native The Undertaker seems now, as age and the performers' mileage in the ring continued to pile up, to be just that ... a dream.

But Kingston wouldn't put anything past the seven-time world champion. When asked if this was Undertaker's final WrestleMania he said, "You would never say never with 'Taker. People were starting to say this could be his last WrestleMania 10 years in ..."

Undertakers tenth WrestleMania match was in 2002, where he defeated Ric Flair. Another match this year would make it 24 career WrestleMania matches for 'The Deadman.'

Are Dez Bryant and Dirk Nowitzki 'New Day' material?

Local sports figures have been known to get involved with WWE events from time to time.

Dallas Cowboys J.J. Wilcox, Danny McCray, and Brandon Carr were all in attendance for WWE's WrestleMania ticket release party at AT&T Stadium back in November.

Even Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has appeared on Monday Night Raw (and been thrown through a table).

When asked whether or not the likes of Dirk Nowitzki or Dez Bryant could hang with the reigning WWE Tag Team champions 'The New Day'...

Kingston said, "Dirk, he's a fun-loving guy, I've met him a couple times -- I've never met Dez Bryant -- but he's a big, athletic guy, and that's what you have to be to be a part of the New Day, and that's the kind of people the New Day likes to associate themselves with."

WrestleMania takes place inside AT&T Stadium on April 3, 2016.
