You can't beat free.

The Women's Final Four just announced that Texas country singer Pat Green will be playing a free concert midday on Sunday, April 2, just a few hours before the NCAA national championship game in women's basketball.

NCAA Women's Final Four Concert: Pat Green

Notably, it's the first year Dallas has ever hosted the Women's Final Four, a three-game event that determines the best college basketball team in the nation. Thousands of visitors are expected to drive and fly to Dallas for the biggest women's basketball games of the year.

The Pat Green concert is one of a fleet of events taking place at and near the American Airlines Center in Dallas March 31 through April 2. He'll play his music at Tourney Town, a free, family-friendly parking lot party outside the AAC all three days. (And while basketball games bookend the weekend on March 31 and April 2 at the AAC, there's a notable event on April 1: a concert by Jennifer Nettles of the country band Sugarland. Note: Attendees were required to purchase a ticket to the basketball games in order to get admittance to the Nettles concert, and the concert tickets are sold out. Final Four basketball tickets are still available.)

Pat Green's show on April 2 does not require a ticket.

Fort Worth singer Green -- the man behind "Wave on Wave" and "Songs About Texas" -- is known for putting on party-worthy shows.

Green will perform at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, April 2. DJ Shawna, a.k.a. Shawna Nicols, a former University of Wisconsin women's basketball player, opens for Green at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 2. The national championship game starts at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 2 at the AAC.
