You can play Mortal Kombat X on an Alamo Drafthouse screen the day it comes out

The tenth Mortal Kombat game is right around the corner. Mortal Kombat X (pronounced "Ecks" even though it's the tenth game in the series, because ... why not, I guess? They already spell everything with a "K," so why not be even more weird?) hits the Xbox One, PS4 and PC on April 14. But if you have a "go big or go home" mentality, you can play it on a movie screen that night.

The Alamo Drafthouse in Richardson is hosting Big Screen Gaming: Mortal Kombat Edition (presented by Epic! Gaming Lounge) at 8 p.m. on April 14. Admission is free, but paying $4 for a food and beverage voucher will reserve you a spot.

The winner of the night's violent matchups will take home a copy of the game on the platform of their choosing.
