6 ways to celebrate Pride Month including TV, video games -- and a playlist

It's Pride Month. Sure, there are the traditional events that include parties, parades and concerts. But when it's time to cool down, here are some other options.

The documentary Believer follows Dan Reynolds, the frontman for band Imagine Dragons and a Mormon, as he unpacks how The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints treats its members who identify as LGBTQ. It debuts Monday, June 25, at 7 p.m. on HBO.

FilmStruck, an on-demand service that's run by Turner Classic Movies, Warner Bros. and the Criterion Collection, will have five compilations available in celebration of Pride Month. "Dressing the Part," which will look at cross-dressing in movies; "Star of the Week: Liza Minnelli" on June 18; "Written by Tennessee Williams," which will feature adaptations of the playwright's work, including Cat on a Hot Tin Roof; "Director of the Week: Derek Jarman," which will include nine features and the Tilda Swinton-narrated documentary Derek on June 15; and "Classics of Lesbian Cinema" streaming June 22 and hosted by Orange is the New Black's Lea DeLaria and including Blue is the Warmest Color (2013).

SundanceNow, a streaming service from AMC Networks, premiered five LGBTQ documentaries this month. "Take 5: Beyond the Parades" will feature On My Way Out: The Secret Life of Nani and Papi; Becoming More Visible; Cold Fear: Gay Life in Russia; Faith and Gay Fear; and Seed Monday: The Chuck Holmes Story.

PBS' Masterpiece will debut "Man in An Orange Shirt" on June 17 at 8 p.m. The BBC Two film follows two love stories, decades in between them, that show the differences in the lives of gay people in England now and then. Novelist Patrick Gale wrote the drama that stars Vanessa Redgrave and Julian Sands.

Gamers can celebrate while playing on the PlayStation 4. The console has made available a free "For All the Players" theme. It's available in the PlayStation Store.

Pandora has launched "Sounds Like Pride." The campaign includes a dedicated featuring LGBTQ+ musicians. The channel will feature "Artist Audio Messages," detailing personal experiences. Pandora employees will participate with video testimonials.
