We've been waiting for a closer look at The Gifted, all dressed up in its X-Men clothes.

Director Bryan Singer obliged this week with a post on his Instagram feed that shows Polaris, played by Emma Dumont. This, after a previous shot of Jamie Chung as Blink walked the internet streets.

Polaris (aka Lorna Dane), one-half of one of my favorite X-Men couples with Havoc (Cyclops' brother), is the daughter of Magneto in the comics and, as such, has mastery over metal like her dad.

She also has awesome green hair. You can't tell from Singer's Insta, but one can only hope that her hair is the same in the series. One can only hope, too, that they let viewers in on the father-daughter connection, much as they did with Quicksilver in X-Men: Apocalypse, also directed by Singer.

(One of my favorite other X-couples is Storm and Forge, but that's another story for another time.)

One can only hope that the optics live up to the ones that FX's Legion have established. Legion is an actual wonder to behold. And it looks as if Singer is setting us up for more of the same with the details. Fans will get to see more when the full trailer is released May 15. Watch the teaser trailer here.
