North Texans will try to become the 'Ultimate Beastmaster,' starting Friday on Netflix

Two North Texans will compete on Ultimate Beastmaster, a competition reality series with six versions going simultaneously across the world.

The show will start streaming on Friday, Feb. 24, on Netflix.

Former Cowboys receiver Isaiah Stanback and Arlington rock climber Steven Tucker will take on "The Beast," an obstacle course to end all obstacle courses. Each episode of the 10-part series will be two hours.

The shows will be in the United States, Brazil, South Korea, Mexico, Germany and Japan. There will be 18 competitors in each country.

Two of the wannabe masters will compete to declare a winner in each episode. The nine winners across the world will meet to try to become the title.

Sylvester Stallone is the executive producer of the show hosted by Terry Crews and Charissa Thompson.

The Talk: Race In America: There is a conversation in black and Latino households that occurs with the children about how to proceed when the children interact with the police. This two-hour documentary takes a 360-degree look at "The Talk" in communities around the country, including Long Beach, Calif.; St. Louis, Mo.; Richland County, S.C.; and Cleveland, Ohio. The Detour: Change is in the air as the family moves to New York in the season two premiere. 9 p.m. TBS

Maya Angelou: And Still I Rise: This entry into the 31st season of American Masters features the "redwood tree, with deep roots in American culture," Dr. Maya Angelou. Dr. Angelou, who was a dancer, singer, actress, poet and writer, died in 2014. This is the first documentary about her extraordinary life; it will be released on DVD on Feb. 21, the same day it premieres on PBS at 7 p.m.

BET Presents American Black Film Festival Honors: Actress Regina Hall (Think Like a Man) will host this year's ceremony.
