What is the most popular TV show in Texas?

The most popular TV show in Texas is Narcos.

At least that's what the people at CableTV.com came up with when they decided to play with numbers and figure out the most popular TV show in each state. They took IMDB.com's list of the most popular TV shows and merged it with information from Google trends. Et voila!

(Insert joke here). Hawaii loves Lost. Lousiana -- as it should -- loves Queen Sugar. And folks in New Mexico love Breaking Bad. Still.

CableTV.com also extrapolated several other theories based on other percentages, i.e. "states that had higher rates of crime also had a strong correlation with preferring shows that glorified bad behavior." Thus, Nevada loves Lucifer. (The show, not the fallen angel.)

Seriously, are you trying to tell me something?

Narcos dives into the criminal enterprise that was Colombian drug kingpin Pablo Escobar. Star Wagner Moura, who plays Escobar, was nominated for a 2016 Golden Globe. The Netflix original series was also nominated for a Golden Globe, for best television drama.
