Two enter, one leaves: ABC invites entrepreneurs to casting call for 'Steve Harvey's Funderdome'

How long will it be before Steve Harvey his own network?

Harvey continues his quest for media domination as Steve Harvey's Funderdome begins casting. Funderdome will be "a seed-funding competition reality series where two budding entrepreneurs" compete for the audience's approval. The audience will vote between the two -- majority wins. The twist? (Because there's always a twist ...) One of the contestants will get the opportunity to cash out and walk away with less money; if they do that, though, they won't be able to win the big prize.

Even more simply, according to ABC: "A good move if they lost the crowd vote, but a bad move if they would have won it."

Join in this twist on crowdfunding from reality superproducer Mark Burnett's MGM Television by applying to audition for the show at the Funderdome casting website.

What's more exciting is the anticipation of Harvey's reaction takes to the proposed ideas, products or companies. The Emmy Award-winning host will do what he does best, adding to his already impressive list of emcee duties (across an impressive list of networks) that include NBC's Little Big Shots; syndicated talk show Steve Harvey; ABC's Celebrity Family Feud; original recipe Family Feud, which airs locally on Fox; the Miss Universe pageant; and his syndicated radio show, The Steve Harvey Morning Show.

He's famous and infamous for his antics. Anyone remember when he announced the wrong winner at the Miss Universe pageant? That's right; they all remember and no one seems to care, as they've invited him back. Harvey was also just named as one of this year's inductees to the National Radio Hall of Fame.

The ABC series will start shooting in Los Angeles this fall. The plan is for 13 episodes.
