HBO announces an after-show dedicated to hit 'Game of Thrones'

HBO on Monday announced an after-show for its hit series Game of Thrones.

After the Thrones will shed some light on the dark and dastardly events on the hit show. Each episode will recap Game of Thrones and offer theories as to what's next. Hint: Winter is always coming.

Andy Greenwald and Chris Ryan will host the show, which will be initially available on Mondays on HBO Now, HBO Go and HBO On Demand. The main channel will also air the shows. The duo hosted Grantland's Watch the Thrones podcast and host The Watch podcast for The Ringer, Simmons' content site. Greenwald is a TV critic and Ryan is The Ringer's executive editor.

It's the first show from the pay cable network's partnership with Bill Simmons.

Of course, this isn't the first show to do this; it's just the latest.

Just last week, Empire took the words right out of the fans' mouths with its digital after party, Empire After Show. The show will be available on the show's official YouTube channel first and then made available to local Fox affiliates.

Ta'Rhonda Jones, who plays Cookie's sometimes too-personal assistant on the show, hosts. She'll recap the show, have guests, interviews, talk about what's next and even show deleted scenes. No spoilers: The show will post right after midnight Central each Wednesday. It joins Empire: First Look and Empire: B-Sides, etc., as extensions of the show.

There's also Bravo's Watch What Happens Live and AMC's Talking Dead, just to name a couple.

I have questions: What will be left for the DVD releases? And will all this insight feed fans just enough or cause fan fatigue? Will we soon be watching the stars watch themselves on TV, a la Bravo's The People's Couch?

You be the judge. I'm over here watching Empire After the Show. Again.
