The best -- and weirdest -- Super Bowl 50 commercials

This year's Super Bowl 50 ads were fairly tame, but many had the emotional impact we look for while watching the Big Game. Audi channeled the Starman, Doritos got freaky and the Bud Light Party was formed.

Here's a list of the best commercials as well as the weirdest ones.

The best

Audi - "Commander"

This year, Audi made us all take a step back and think about the possibilities. What's a world look like without the Starman? Without astronauts? Let's not let that happen, even if that means buying a really nice car.

Or with:

NFL - "Super Bowl Babies"

We know, we know. The NFL making the list with its Super Bowl ad. But come on, guys, it's really clever. The whole thing wasn't actually played until the third quarter or so, but it was broken up into small bits early on. Check out the full thing above.

Taco Bell - "Bigger than..."

Man buns. Drones. Hoverboards. Well, maybe not that last one, but Taco Bell gets us. Will the Quesalupa be bigger than these trends? Not so sure about that, but everyone at the Super Bowl party was planning their post-game trip.

Jeep - "Portraits"

Between the stunning photography, the chilling portraits and the trip through time, Jeep may have stolen the show with its Super Bowl ad this year. Actual chills were chilled during this one.

Bud Light - "Bud Light Party"

Amy Schumer and Seth Rogen lead this star-studded ad as they introduce the Bud Light Party, a new political party that just loves Bud Light and Paul Rudd. Michael Pena also shows up and that's really great too. Good on Bud Light for creating something relevant, smart and actually funny.

T-Mobile - "Restricted Bling"

T-Mobile is ruthless with its ad campaigns. Between this and the Steve Harvey ad earlier in the game, they absolutely killed it. This one has Drake in total goofy form having a pow wow with some carrier agents -- the perfect bow on the "Hotline Bling" trend.

The weirdest

Mountain Dew Kickstart - "PuppyMonkeyBaby"

This one easily takes the cake for the weirdest, most uncomfortable commercial maybe ever. Mountain Dew thought that this odd amalgamation of a puppy, a monkey and a baby would make people want to try its energy drink. Sometimes weird is good, but sometimes it gives us terrible nightmares.

Snickers - "Marilyn"

Snickers took an iconic scene and made it hella creepy this year by superimposing Willem Dafoe over Marilyn Monroe. It wasn't a bad ad, just very, very unsettling. Hey, Eugene Levy is there too. We love that guy!

Skittles - "The Portrait"

Steven Tyler stars in this Skittles ad and commissions a portrait of himself by some candy artists. The piece turns out pretty solid, but Tyler isn't happy, so he decides to make the portrait sing a line from "Dream On" until it crumbles. Spoiler alert: It crumbles.

Apartments.com - "#MovinOnUp"

It's Jeff Goldblum riding a piano up a building while singing a song. What could go wrong? Well, nothing, but it's just really odd. And when Lil Wayne shows up we're even more confused. Why is he cooking beans on a grill? Anyone else have the urge to rent an apartment now?

Doritos - "Ultrasound"

We're not really sure what Doritos was thinking here other than that they would get the Internet talking. Oops, looks like they won. Anyway, this ad has actually been making the web round the last few months but made an unsettling debut during the Big Game. See for yourself.
