Dallas dancer Neptune takes his final bow on SYTYCD

Week seven was not a good week for the contestants of So You think You Can Dance.

Monday's competition felt rocky across the board and ended with bad news for Dallas dancer Eddie "Netpune" Eskridge -- last week's zany Frankenstein hip-hop routine didn't capture audiences and he was sent home for receiving the least number of votes.

Despite the news, no one can deny Neptune had an epic run. He started the show as a street dancer with a unique crumping style never before seen on SYTYCD and blossomed into what the judges would call "simply a dancer." Even Neptune's jazz dance with all-star Kayla Radomski Monday night was testament to that. It was strong, graceful and moving, definitely a routine that would have put him in good placement next week.

There is some good news, however: Since he made the top 10, Neptune will tour with So You Think You Can Dance this fall. The dancers come to the Verizon Theater stage in Grand Prairie on October 13 (tickets on sale August 28).

Our Dallas dude wasn't the only one having a rough night. Judges Nigel Lythgoe, Paula Adbul and Jason Derulo offered a lot of "we're proud of how far you've come" and "remember the journey" criticism, as dancer after dancer failed to inspire. With only six dancers left in the competition, we expect next week to blow the roof off the venue, but we'll also still miss Neptune. Take a peek at his latest performances below.
