Mr. T will have his own home-renovation series. Yep, that's right.
And you have three guesses on what the show's title will be ... and the first two don't count.
Yep. Mr. T will star in I Pity the Tool.
Mr. T will bring his Mohawk haircut and gold chains to the DIY Network for a show that's scheduled to air sometime in 2015. The New York-based network announced Thursday that it's adding Mr. T to a roster of celebrity-focused, renovation-themed series, including The Vanilla Ice Project (starring Vanilla Ice, who has Carrollton ties), Daryl's Restoration Over-Hall (Daryl Hall), The Shatner Project (William Shatner) and Rev Run's Renovation (Rev Run from DMC).
If you haven't already guessed, here's the premise of a show hosted by the guy who played Clubber Lang in the Rocky movies: Mr. T brings an arsenal of tools and a construction team of tough guys to level outdated houses.
"Before I worked in show business, I worked in the demolition business," Mr. T said in a news release. "And even after I made it in Hollywood, I kept on building things."
And, as you know, he keeps on talking:
"We're hooking up homeowners who need help with their renovations. I'm tired of all this jibber-jabber -- we're out here getting things done, working hard, demolishing the old and rebuilding the new."
