Jacksonville, Texas, native Margo Martindale, an Emmy Award winner, will be returning to the FX show, The Americans, before the end of its current season.

I got an email today from Margo Martindale, the Emmy Award-winning actress whom I profiled in this recent piece. And the news is wonderful for fans of Margo and that terrific FX show, The Americans, for which Margo was nominated for an Emmy in both 2014 and 2013 as "outstanding guest actress in a drama series." She won the Emmy in 2011 as "outstanding supporting actress in a drama series" for her sizzling portrayal of a shrewd, redneck killer in the FX series, Justified.

Margo confirmed to me officially that, yes, before the end of its current season, she will return to The Americans as Soviet super-spy Claudia.

This is great news for all of us who love Margo's work and have for years. Born in the East Texas hamlet of Jacksonville, she has become a major force on stage and screen. As you can see in her imdb.com profile, Margo has appeared in some of Hollywood's best offerings and acted alongside such giants as Paul Newman and Meryl Streep.

This is the official trailer for Season 3 of The Americans, and it includes footage from last season with Margo as Claudia, telling the couple at the heart of the show that the Soviets want to recruit into their spy ranks their teen-age daughter, Paige:
