Denton Yankee Doodle Parade / Fourth of July Jubilee

Find a spot on the square and watch floats and marching bands at the Yankee Doodle Parade. The parade steps off at 9 a.m. near the downtown square at South Locust and Walnut and travels around the square before ending at the Denton Civic Center.

The free family festival follows from 9 a.m. to noon at the Civic Center and Quakertown Park with games, including an adult horseshoe tourney, kids' carnival games and a hot dog eating competition.

More Fourth Fun around Denton The Liberty 5k and 1 Mile Walk starts at 7:30 a.m. at the Civic Center. The Civic Center Pool is open from noon to 6 p.m. with $1 admission. The Kiwanis Fourth of July Fireworks blast of at 9:30 p.m. from Apogee Stadium.
