Fort Worth Opera: The Last Dream of Frida and Diego

The Fort Worth Opera presents a sneak peek of its upcoming premiere of the Spanish-language opera exploring the passionate relationship of iconic Mexican artists Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. The FWO will present the full opera in spring 2021.

Written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Nilo Cruz and Latin Grammy winner, pianist and classical composer Gabriela Lena Frank, this celebratory new work is set in 1957 during the Mexican holiday of El Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).

May 30 performance at Rose Marine Theater at the Artes de la Rosa Cultural Center for the Arts in Fort Worth.
May 31 performance at Ed Landreth Hall at TCU in Fort Worth.
