Freedman's Town to Botham Jean: Stories for Racial Healing

Seven Dallasites share their personal stories about racial divide in Dallas over the decades. The show is directed by master storyteller Dr. Njoki McElroy and produced by Oral Fixation, the popular storytelling series.

Storytellers include Jeremy Bonner who was a friend of Botham Jean. Botham Jean was shot and killed in his apartment by an off duty Dallas police officer in 2018.

After the May 21 opening at Moody Performance Hall, the show will be performed at branch libraries in Dallas on five consecutive Saturdays at 2 p.m. All library performances are free.

June 22 - Fretz Park branch
