Team up with experienced naturalists to document living species that populate the urban wilderness of the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area (LLELA). BioBlitz offers a variety of nature and wildlife hikes and a chance to learn and interact with researchers and LLELA volunteers in the pavilion. Activities include a Bat Acoustical Survey; Migratory Bird Banding Observation; bird, wildflower, spider and reptile walks; Pond Bug Sorting; and an after-dark insect survey with lights. Children can visit the Kids' Corner from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

BioBlitz activities are free beyond the $5 per vehicle entry fee. Some activities require preregistration.
