The Wall That Heals

The Wall That Heals, the three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial ("The Wall") in Washington, D. C., will be on display May 2-5, just west of the Bob Wiseman Soccer Complex at Lewisville Lake Park Road and Mill Street.

The traveling exhibit honors the more than 3 million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces during the Vietnam War and bears the names of the more than 58,000 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam.

The Wall That Heals exhibit will be open to the public 24 hours a day. Like the original memorial, The Wall That Heals is erected in a chevron-shape and visitors can do name rubbings of individual service members whose names are on The Wall.

The 53-foot trailer that carries The Wall That Heals around the country transforms into a mobile Education Center that provides additional information and exhibits about the legacy of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the collection of items left at The Wall in Washington, DC.
