Black Violin: Impossible Tour

The group includes classically trained sting players Wil B. on the viola and Kev Marcus on the violin and DJ SPS and drummer Nat Stokes. Black Violin blends classical and hip-hop music.

This show features a special performance from the Sidney Lanier Expressive Arts Vanguard 5th Grade Advanced Orchestra, under the direction of Mr. Mark Hillegass Jr. The orchestra is part of the magnet program at Sidney Lanier and is currently one of three orchestras. The orchestra consists of 22 musicians ranging from first- and third- year players. The orchestra program consists of the 4th Grade Beginner Orchestra, 5th Grade Advanced Orchestra, 6th Grade Beginner Orchestra, and in the future will be adding an intermediate and advanced orchestra to the middle school program.

Attendees can bring chairs and blankets to sit on the square. Outside food or beverages, pets, strollers, smoking, weapons, umbrellas, bags or coolers and laser pointers are prohibited.
