Heard After Hours: Star Party (CANCELED) - Canceled

UPDATE: Due to rain predicted for Saturday, April 6, this event has been canceled.
Our beautiful night sky is a disappearing resource. Find out why at Heard's Magic Planet exhibit and then head outside to view the spring constellations and the one-day-old moon, along with varying star clusters and nebulae. Perhaps Mars will even put in an appearance above the western tree line. A telescope station and binocular station will be provided, family-friendly activities will be available near the viewing area, and the exhibit hall will be open.

Guests are welcome to bring lawn/camp chairs or waterproof seating, as well as snacks or a picnic to enjoy at designated areas. Long pants and closed-toed shoes are highly recommended. Children ages 18 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Please be advised that unhampered night vision is critical for everyone’s enjoyment of a night-sky event. This means that headlamps are not permitted and that flashlights should be covered with red cellophane. (We’ll have the cellophane and rubber bands available).

$19/non-member; $16/Heard Museum Members. Pre-registration is required.
