Asia Times Square’s annual two-weekend event celebrates the Lunar New Year, a holiday marked in many Asian countries with a festival that ushers out the old year and welcomes a healthy and happy new year. Attendees can try authentic dishes and drinks from various countries such as Thailand and Vietnam and catch K-pop performances, dragon and lion dances and live music from local and well-known singers. Traditional games with prizes will be held onstage every night, and carnival game booths will benefit nonprofit organizations. The Hong Kong Market will feature more than 80 vendors and a flower festival with blooms for sale.

Updatae:Because of technical issues, the big firecracker display and dragon and lion dances have been rescheduled for Saturday, Feb. 9, and Sunday, Feb. 10, at noon on both days.
Celebrate the turn of the lunisolar calendar, one of the most significant traditions in Southeast Asian culture. The festival spans two weekends - Jan. 25-27 and Feb. 1-3 - with nightly concerts, carnival games, Vietnamese bingo, dragon dances, martial arts demos and firecrackers. Kick off the year of the pig with a trip to the festival’s fresh flower market, or visit vendor booths where you’ll find authentic Asian street food and handmade merchandise.
