Four hours of entertainment kick off this parade in downtown Arlington, with music, food and shopping at vendor booths in Founders Plaza from 2 p.m. until the parade begins at 6 p.m.
The holiday procession steps off at 6 p.m. and ends with the lighting of the Christmas tree on the steps of City Hall at 7 p.m.
Take your camera for a picture with Santa after the parade (from 7:15 to 8 p.m.) at Levitt Pavilion in Founders Plaza.
Organizers say that the event will continue rain or shine but not in icy conditions.
