See some doggie dream homes and kitty condos on Level One between Starbucks and Dillard's as part of the fourth annual Bark + Build design and build competition. The SPCA of Texas, the Dallas Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and TEXO will auction the dog houses to benefit the SPCA of Texas’ Home for the Holidays event.
Architects, contractors and design teams have created one-of-a-kind dog houses and cat condos that will be auctioned off via an online silent auction. The houses will be judged on both design and construction quality by a jury panel, with various award categories. All proceeds from the auction will go to the SPCA of Texas.
In addition to exhibiting the talented professional teams’ high-quality designs, the competition and auction serve to foster relationships between architecture and contractor firms and raise awareness and support for the SPCA of Texas’ mission.
