Fort Worth Opera: Hansel and Gretel in Southlake at The Marq Southlake
Brentney Hamilton Recommends
No need to leave a trail of breadcrumbs to find your way home from this colorful adaptation of the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale. (Take a cue from the main characters’ mistakes and drop a pin in Google Maps, instead.) You will, however, have to pick a preferred date and city, as the show runs in three locations across North Texas in November. The family-friendly, hour-long performance by the Fort Worth Opera is sung in English, presenting an “innovative show with a contemporary design [that] explores the perils of growing up and reminds children of all ages to never judge a book by its cover,” organizers say.
