Get out of the city and breathe in some fresh fall air at this pumpkin patch south of Mansfield. Attractions include bounce houses, pony rides (on weekends only), duck races (ducks cost $1 each), a petting zoo, a train ride, a hayride, a wooden maze and a train and tractor playground. Children can enjoy cookies and apple juice while listening to a storyteller, and each can choose a pie-size pumpkin from the patch to decorate with markers. The farm sometimes closes due to inclement weather or muddy conditions, so it’s wise to call ahead. Save the date: Wear costumes and bring bags for trick-or-treating on Oct. 27.
