Celina Oktoberfest

Celina Oktoberfest kicks off with the ceremonial tapping of the keg and a traditional toast by Celina Mayor Sean Terry.

Activities include a Dachshund Derby dog race, polka bands and dancing, authentic German food favorites, Chicken Dance circle and costume contests. Youngsters can have fun with bounce houses, obstacle course, rock-climbing wall and a petting zoo in the free Kids’ Zone.

No worries for football fans. College games will be shown on a big LED screen. Radio personalities Mike and Cash Sirois of The Ticket sports radio will broadcast live from Celina square from noon to 2 p.m.

Celina Oktoberfest will be presented rain or shine. General admission is $5, free for ages 12 and younger. Admission is also free for anyone who wears a traditional German lederhosen or dirndl costume.

Free parking and shuttle at Celina Elementary School (550 S. Utah Drive) and Brookshire’s (675 Sunset Blvd.) Paid parking adjacent to the square is $20.
