Garland Symphony Orchestra: Kids Notes at Rowlett Public Library
The Garland Symphony Orchestra presents Kids Notes, a one-hour program designed to develop creativity in children. The event begins with a reading of a book that introduces different instrument families, then allows students, depending on their age, to participate in games that explore various musical concepts, such as pitch and rhythm. After that, a musician from the orchestra will introduce and play their specific instrument. To wrap up the day, there will be an Instrument Petting Zoo, which allows kids to try out an instrument from one of the four orchestra groups and learn more about their favorites.
