As leader of industrial rock act Nine Inch Nails, Trent Reznor was arguably the primary poster-screamer for the ‘90s alternative rock movement. Between 1989-1999, Nine Inch Nails dominated pop culture and rock radio by merging dark electro beats with violent, dispair-filled lyrics and scorching guitars on to two classic albums, The Fragile and The Downward Spiral. The group’s latest music isn’t as revolutionary, but Bad Witch, its latest effort, is packed with the same ominous, alienated village burners that made them legends so many years ago.
